About the aluminum

The raw material in our daily industry is called aluminum ingot. According to the national standard (GB/T 1196-2008), it should be called "aluminum ingot for remelting", but we are used to calling it "aluminum ingot". It is produced by electrolysis with alumina-cryolite. There are two categories of aluminum ingots after they enter industrial application: cast aluminum alloy and deformed aluminum alloy. Cast aluminum and aluminum alloy are castings produced by casting method; Deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy are processed products of aluminum produced by pressure processing: plate, strip, foil, tube, bar, profile, wire and forging. According to the national standard "aluminum ingots for remelting are divided into eight grades according to chemical composition, namely, Al99.90, Al99.85, Al99.70, Al99.60, Al99.50, Al99.00, Al99.7E and Al99.6E" (note: the number after Al is the aluminum content).

Because of the light material of aluminum, aluminum ingots are widely used in construction, electricity, packaging, transportation and consumer goods. It can be used to produce aluminum sheet, foil, aluminum alloy, packaging materials for corrosion protection, as well as aluminum alloy, utensils, cables, conductive body, central alloy, decoration materials, daily necessities, etc. in chemical industry. In addition, aluminum ingots can also be used with other metals such as silicon, copper, magnesium and iron to improve the alloy of pure aluminum due to the lack of forging, chemical and physical properties.
